Get trained

Training Christians in radio skills is a priority at Radio Worldwide and in the UK they run a two-week training course. If you want to work in Christian media but don't know where to start or even what gifts you have, this could be the course for you. No previous knowledge of radio is required and you are trained in the basics of radio production, whilst gaining practical experience. What more could you ask for?

Radio Worldwide needs people with all sorts of different gifts and talents willing to work as part of the team. Although workers are from a wide range of backgrounds, all have at least one thing in common – a desire and commitment to serve God. This is the most important attribute of any WEC International worker.

There are different options for working with WEC, depending on how much time you can give.

Short-term – up to one year

If you want to work with Radio Worldwide but can't make a long term commitment, consider a WEC Trek, WEC's short-term programme for people wanting to engage in mission. Placements can be tailored to suit your interests and gifts, extending from four weeks up to a year.

partners togetherWEC provide a short orientation course, followed by training in radio programme production. A role in the team will be assigned, appropriate to abilities - this may involve writing, production, web design, engineering, music production, administration and practical work for the centre.

Long-term opportunities

Radio Worldwide are looking for people who are passionate about sharing Jesus with others. Before joining the team, applicants need to gain the support of their home churches. Once your application is successful, you will undertake an orientation programme before working at Radio Worldwide.

RW's current vacancies

Radio Producer - Producing programmes for overseas broadcasting - mainly in English although other languages are possible.

Radio Trainer / Communicator - Delivering practical training in communication and broadcasting skills. This job involves teaching, mentoring and coaching.
