Training Christians in radio skills is a priority with us, so we run an annual two-week training course at our UK headquarters. If you want to work in Christian media but don't know where to start or even what gifts you have, this could be the course for you. No previous knowledge of radio is required and you will be trained in the basics of radio production, whilst gaining practical experience. What more could you ask for?
Join the team
We need people with all sorts of different gifts and talents willing to work as part of the team. Although our team are from a wide range of backgrounds, we all have at least one thing in common – a desire and commitment to serve God. This is the most important attribute of any WEC International worker.
There are different options for working with WEC, depending on how much time you can give.
Short-term – up to one year
If you want to work with Radio Worldwide but can't make a long term commitment, consider a WEC Trek, WEC's short-term programme for people wanting to engage in mission. Placements can be tailored to suit your interests and gifts, extending from four weeks up to a year.
WEC provide a short orientation course, followed by training in radio programme production. You'll be given a role in the team, appropriate to your abilities - this may involve writing, production, web design, engineering, music production, administration and practical work for the centre.
We are always looking for people who are passionate about sharing Jesus with others. Before joining the team, you'll need to gain the support of your home church. Once your application is successful, you will enjoy a comprehensive orientation programme before working at Radio Worldwide.
