iMEDIA & Bible Voice Broacasting

Bible Voice Broadcating

On July 1, 2002 High Adventure Gospel Communication Ministries (Canada) and Bible Voice (UK) partnered to provide shortwave broadcasts into the Middle East, Europe, Africa, China, India and South East Asia. Currently, programming from a number of different suppliers is aired for over 80 hours per week in 12 languages, under the name of Bible Voice Broadcasting.

The iMEDIA Vision

iMEDIA , which stands for invisible media, is about partnership, connection and meeting needs. Their desire is to support mission through effective multi-media solutions, and they strive to develop the relationship between the Church and the Media. They prepare and administer 80 hours of Gospel Broadcasts each week for shortwave radio transmission around the world for Bible Voice Bradcasting.

"A Threefold Cord is Not Quickly Broken.."

How the Partnership Began

In the spring of 2002 Bible Voice Broadcasting approached Radio Worldwide, and asked if we might be able to help them collate material from Hindi producers, but we were unable to take on this task because of its magnitude.
The next we heard was that Anthony Trevino, one of our former students was taking on the work. Anthony had kept in touch with us and it turned out that he and a friend, Matthew Tullett, shared a wider vision to serve and develop national Christian media in the UK. They were in the process of setting up as iMEDIA and were looking for office space. As we had a small office free, we offered it to them, recognising that it would help both them and Bible Voice Broadcasting.

Benefits for All

Sharing our space with iMEDIA not only made things easier for them, but it gave us some advantages as well. We have made use of their talents in voicing scripts and taking photographs. In turn they have used repeats of the Hindi series Akanksha to fill gaps in their schedule for broadcast to India.

In recognition of the significant contribution that RW is making to their ministry, Bible Voice Broadcasting then offered us 45 minutes per week free time in the programming blocks they are supplying to transmitters. Much of the material collated by iMEDIA goes to Asia, and this gave us a new opportunity to air Hindi programming. We have re-released the Hindi series Kahani Kiwan Ji, and are able to produce a weekly current affairs programme, called Aaj Kal. The new technology used by iMEDIA/Bible Voice Broadcasting and the fact that we are working in the same building allows Aaj Kal ("Today") to be current, whereas other outlets require a 4-week lead time for material produced in the UK.

The remaining 15-minute slot from Bible Voice is used to air the English series The Storyteller to African listeners.

The Threefold Cord

In Ecclesiastes 4:12 we find these words: 'A threefold cord is not quickly broken'(AV). Our prayer is that this small offer of help, which turned into something so much bigger, will continue to benefit us all and bring even more potential for wider ministry.
