PRODUCTION COURSE

Radio Production Training

From the early 1960s Radio Worldwide has offered an annual one-week introductory course in radio production skills. This is designed primarily for Christians resident in the UK. Over the years many of our students have gone on to apply these skills either in missionary radio or as Christians in local broadcasting.

This one week course starts by giving a grounding in radio programming principles together with practical exercises. The emphasis in this course is on the production of speech material for radio programmes.

Having completed basic exercises in production skills, students work in teams to produce a short speech-based radio programme.

Who is it for?

The course is designed for Christians who want to explore the possibilities presented by the expanding opportunities in local radio in the UK. It is especially suited for anyone who is interested in making speech-based radio programmes on existing radio stations (such as BBC local radio stations).
