AIRING OUR PROGRAMMES

Supplying Stations overseas

Radio Worldwide does not broadcast its own programmes, but seeks to strategically place series with broadcast outlets in different parts of the world. Our objective is that our programmes should communicate the Christian gospel in an effective way. This means that the programmes are aired primarily:

  • To a non-Christian audience
  • To Unreached people groups
  • Via Secular and Christian stations

Payment

Unlike most other programming, Christian radio programmes are sometimes sponsored by the programme supplier. In certain circumstances Radio Worldwide will consider paying to have programmes aired.

For a programme to be sponsored, several conditions have to be met. The following requirements apply. Programmes should:

  • Be aired overseas
  • Be aired to an 'unreached' audience
  • Be aired on a Christian station
  • Be aired with a demonstrated effectiveness

Unreached Audiences

Like our parent mission, WEC International Radio Worldwide's emphasis is on evangelising to the 'unreached' peoples of the world. We take this term to mean that the audience group has no strong, witnessing Christian Church within it.

Why pay for broadcast only on Christian stations?

Firstly: When we are airing programmes on Christian stations (such as FEBA Radio) our payment is a demonstration of our partnership in the ministry and a demonstration of our joint dependence on God to supply our finiancial needs.

Secondly: Commercial broadcasters oftem seem to market Christian outlets for profit with no account for how programmes are placed and follow-up handled.

Research

In order to meet the requirement for demonstrated effectiveness new international outlets are only considered if verifiable audience research data exists which is applicable to the programmes we are looking to place.

UK Airing of RW Programmes

As Radio Worldwide's programmes are not made with a domestic audience in mind, we do not seek to place them on UK stations. However, in certain circumstances we do make programming available, if the station considers it to be suited to their audience. This is sometimes done at no cost, though we reserve the right to charge for programmes supplied to RSL (Restricted Service Licence) stations and other small scale outlets.
