The Gaweylon Radio Programme
Every day the 30 minute Gaweylon radio programme can be
heard on the 19 Metre band short wave by listeners at home in the Himalayan
ranges at an altitude of 12,000 feet, as well as in refugee camps in the low
plains of India.
The language used in the production of these programmes is the Lhasa
(Central Tibet) dialect. It is believed that more than 70% of the Tibetan
population can speak or understand this dialect.
This wholesome, lively, interesting and challenging radio programme contains
features, relating to Tibetan life and needs.
