Different Types of Training

For almost 40 years Radio Worldwide has been running broadcast training courses. We are committed to providing effective resources for Christian broadcasters who wish to set and maintain the highest professional standards. Each year we run two residential courses at Springhead Park House, our centre near Leeds. For further information on these look under Courses.

Since the early 1990s we have been increasingly involved in overseas training, and many of the major broadcasters now look to RW as their training provider. We are also partners with IBRA Radio in a new Distance Media project specifically designed to train non-UK residents.

Overseas Training

Our aim is to make radio work for the Church worldwide. In recent years RW staff have been taking radio training to many countries including Nigeria, India, Central Asia, Haiti and South Africa. We have also been to the USA to train groups of East Asian Christians who have a burden for the unreached people groups in China, Laos and Vietnam.

As partners with Radio Africa Network and the ACB in South Africa, RW has run a number of courses for Christian radio groups in Southern Africa. On several occasions these courses have been hosted by Cape Community FM in Cape Town, South Africa.

Distance Learning Project

We are working with IBRA Radio on this exciting new venture to provide a high standard of training, delivered electronically.

From their own PC students can download teaching material, upload completed assignments, receive tutorial support, and engage through Chat with other participants. In this way, broadcast training becomes accessible to Christians all over the world.
