Our student station Rothwell Carnival Radio is licensed
by the goverment under the 'RSL' scheme. Restricted Service Licences (RSLs) are
administered by the Radio Authority, and are necessary in order to operate a station like
Rothwell Carnival Radio, which runs just once a year, for a designated time.

website is a good place to look for application forms, information and costs for
setting up an independent radio station.
The Community Media
Association is a group set up to support community media groups in the UK, and
now worldwide. On their site you can expect to find information about training
resources, as well as links and advice.
